A Beijing Gifts package is rolled out at the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services in Beijing

The Beijing Gifts brand, a showcase of the capital's cultural and tourism offerings, will present a new collection of products at the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services, which runs from Sept 9 to 13 at Shougang Park in Beijing.

Under the theme "Tourism Illuminates a Better Life", the brand will be featured in the tourism exhibition, bringing together more than 20 universities, research institutions and cultural and creative companies in Beijing. The exhibition will explore the city through campus culture, revolutionary culture, Beijing flavor and traditional culture combined with technology.

Among the highlights will be a product launch scheduled for Sept 10.

Beijing Jingwei Shidai will unveil a Beijing Gifts package as well as cultural and creative products inspired by a 580-year-old fringe tree in Miyun district. Known for its cloud-like white blossoms in May, the tree has been turned into eight products, including fridge magnets, silk fans and souvenirs.

To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Long March, Yanbo Culture will launch 58 red-themed cultural products in three series, including 28 new products inspired by the television series The Great Long March.

The team behind the National Day flower basket at Tian'anmen Square will also introduce a cultural and creative series titled "Blessing the Motherland".

Twelve Beijing universities, including Renmin University of China, Beihang University, and China Agricultural University, will showcase products inspired by campus life.

Badges, stationery and collectible toys turn university identities and student culture into everyday items, offering a youthful take on Beijing's cultural landscape.

Another section explores seven decades of Beijing youth culture, from the 1950s through the 2010s. Designed as a "Beijing-style cultural living room", the display brings together objects and memories associated with different generations.

Technology also features prominently. Visitors can have their photographs transformed into personalized fan designs using an AI model. After selecting a traditional Chinese-style outfit, visitors can generate a personalized image incorporating landscapes inspired by Suzhou gardens. The design is then printed on silk fabric and finished with silk edging and tassels, creating a personalized souvenir on site.

Three new collaborations will explore how intangible cultural heritage can be presented in contemporary forms.

The exhibition will also feature a "Beijing Gifts" package developed under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau. Organized around eight themes, including the ancient capital, Beijing flavors, intangible cultural heritage and the Central Axis, the collection brings together products such as Palace Museum cultural and creative goods, Zhangyiyuan tea and clay figurines from Jitu Fang.

Three gift-box options themed around "Family", "Value" and "Self" are designed for different occasions, from family celebrations to formal gifts and personal souvenirs.
